The 2019 Maintenance Invoices should have been mailed.  Most of us have not received them.  For those who are asking to pay without the Invoice-here is the info:

All checks and wires will be payable to A.H.E. Resorts & Holding NV Please pay close attention to this information as it has to be correct. Check may only be made payable to

  • Checks will not be accepted in person at the Riu. If you are paying by check it must be mailed to Miami.
  • Credit Card payments will be accepted at the Riu Time Share Desk only on Tuesday between 8am-11am.
  • The Riu will now accept American Express.

 

Below you will find the 2019 maintenance fee amounts. 

  • Maintenance Fee for a one bedroom unit is $720.00
  • Maintenance Fee for a two bedroom unit is $950.00

 

  • Checks may only be made payable to A.H.E. Resorts & Holding NV. Do not make checks payable to any other payee. 
  • Mail Check in the enclosed envelope. Do not make check payable to Banco Sabadell or Royal Palm Club.
  • Do not enclose any paperwork in the envelope with your check. Miami will not forward paperwork to Aruba.
  • Do not mail your payment to Aruba.
  • Payments may not be made by check in person at the Riu Time Share Desk. Credit Cards only will be accepted.

 

On your Maintenance Invoice you will find your actual check in date for 2019. The month and day are reversed. If more than one week is on a contract, only the first day of check in will be listed under the date.

 

The annual dues are payable in advance  before November 30th  2018, for the following year. Invoices are sent out in September and must be received and posted before November 30, 2018. Payment processing time is approximately 2 weeks.  Please mail your payment no later than November 15 to allow your payment to be posted by the due date.  If the annual dues are not paid on time, the Royal Palm Club will proceed with foreclosure of the unit in default.  On November 30th 2018 any member with unpaid annual dues will be sent a letter notifying them of foreclosure.  The Royal Palm Club will automatically foreclose on any unit with outstanding maintenance fees.

Aruba Breeze Condo at Eagle Beach

One of our Members owns a lovely condo at Aruba Breeze at Eagle Beach.  His unit is often available for rent.  Below is the info:

Outstanding Condo, perfect location

This condo is exactly what you see in the online pictures. Very modern unit, large for 2 couples. and everything you need to enjoy your vacation. The french doors open to a waterfall pool on the left and also one that is situated steps away from the unit. This was a nice seating area in the morning to enjoy a cup of coffee. As well, their is a covered bbq area with an outdoor dining table. The water is drinkable out of the tap and the unit also supplied ice so that we were able to cool our beer on our trips to the beach. With that the condo also supplied a nice sized beverage cooler and lawn chairs so that we were able to take to the beach. The beach is one of the nicest beaches i have seen in the caribbean. Eagle beach is a 10 minute walk from the condo. The beach is a long span of white fine sand with turquoise warm waters. I can say the only downfall of Eagle beach is the wind but without the wind you would most likely cook to death so settle for the wind! The condo is situated in a very secure area however Aruba itself is very safe. We took many walks at night and did not feel a bit unsafe. The area is full of shopping and restaurants. The choices are endless:) If your up to arubian food, try the heshi yeni and the awesome johnney cakes and of course the island breads. We rented a car so were able to scoot around the island to enjoy the capitol of Oranjested, Arushi beach, Baby beach, Mengel Halto beach. and Palm beach area. A half a block from the condo is a greek/Italian restaurant , Zuzuroh. A must to go and try this restaurant. Westdeck is also a must to dine, tons of live entertainment here and also around the area to enjoy. Nice grocery store to stock up for your vacation, a one stop shop to get all you need, good selection of wine, beer and liquor. Did some snorkelling at baby beach and Mengal Halto, some fish, its ok but not great but still fun to be in the water. All in all, we will be back, great island, nice friendly people and the most stunning beaches all at your finger tips as the island is so small ….all I can say is one happy island! Thanks for the wonderful stay, it was enjoyed by all!

Riu Palace Aruba Member Update

Today’s update is about maintenance.  In a couple of weeks the Riu will begin sending out Maintenance Invoices.  There are few changes:

Maintenance has increased for 2019.  $720 for a one bedroom and $950 for a two bedroom.

A few Member’s received an email from Karina with a Credit.  Please make sure to only pay the amount in Karina’s letter.  The Riu cannot carry credits over.

The Riu will now accept American Express again.

If you plan to pay maintenance in person, Karina will only accept payments on Tuesday’s between 8am & 11am.  Payment Form is Credit Card Only.  She will not accept cash or checks.

If you did not update your address in time, please make sure you have a change of address in place with USPS.

As of August 30th, Trades & Accelerations for the remainder of 2018 will not be accepted.

If you are requesting a Trade or Acceleration for the first 3 months of 2019, please make sure Karina has received your form.  These are the months she begins with.  Maintenance must be paid in full for all of your contracts prior to a Trade or Acceleration being approved.  This only applies to the Trades & Accelerations she approves for 2019 before maintenance due date.

Reminder 1st & 2nd Floor Units

Just a quick reminder to all 1st & 2nd Floor owners-please take a couple of minutes upon check in to check the window locks in your unit.  This is a reminder from another owner who just spent three nights with his windows unlocked. It took a call to maintenance to get the lock fixed. As we all know safety is important today-even in Aruba.

 

A few beachfront units have had items stolen from the patios recently.  Please do not leave anything outside.  Most likely they will gone when you wake up.

Happy January to all!  Many of you have emailed to say you are no longer receiving emails from me/Blog.  Glad so many noticed.  I no long post individual ads for rental or sales.  There are so many rentals these days, I can hardly keep up with the Master List.  Please keep in mind rental policies:

All renters need a rental agreement with the Rules & Regulations.

Karina needs a Member Guest Form for every renter.

Karina does not need the Rental Agreement-just the Member Guest Form.

Please reply to inquiries quickly.  If you don’t, they email me.

Please notify me as soon as your unit is rented.

If I email you to confirm your rental is still available and you do not reply, I will not be able to list future rentals for you.

Riu Important Update American Express

Effective today the Riu Palace Aruba will no longer accept American Express.

Riu Palace Aruba All Inclusive Timeshare Update

Karina has provided an update on the Riu Palace Aruba All Inclusive.  All Themed restaurants (Krystal, Nautilus, Sayuri and Milano will have open seating from 6:30-9:00.  This means first come-first serve.  No one will wait in line to make reservations and there is not a limit to how many times you can eat in a Themed Restaurant.

Next door at Antillas-Palace All Inclusive guest may only eat at the buffet.  Themed Restaurants at Antillas are not available to Palace guest.  The bars, entertainment, beach and pool are available to Palace guest.  Just remember Antillas is Adult only.

The dress code has changed. The only Themed restaurant requiring long pants for men is Krystal.  For the other Themed Restaurants “Resort Casual” is allowed. Resort Casual is polo style shirts, button up shirts, nice shorts, pants, sundresses, skorts, skirts, dresses.  Nothing fancy but not t-shirts and jeans, cutoffs or tank tops.

Room Service is available with AI.  Mini Bar and Non Motorized Water Sport Activities are not included.

I post Riu stuff on my personal page all the time and yesterday my kids convinced me to create a Group Page. Thanks to everyone who has posted so quickly. This page will allow you to post rentals/sales in another location, post pictures or just communicate with other members. There are several Aruba FB pages and it should be nice to have our own.

The website will not change. This is just an addition for all of us.
