IMPORTANT MAINTENANCE UPDATE

By now everyone should have their maintenance Invoice. If not, please send Karina an email and copy me. If you have moved and did not update your address, the mail is still being returned.  Every year I touch on the importance of updating your contact and mailing information.  Last week many Invoices were returned as deliverable.  These days I do not have the personal time to track each person down and remail the Invoices.  IF YOU MOVE DURING THE YEAR, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO UPDATE YOUR MAILING ADDRESS BY JULY 1st.  If I did not maintain contact information, many members would not receive their Maintenance Invoice.  This means your unit would most likely go to FORECLOSURE.

It is very frustrating to find after many, many reminders, Members do not send a change of address.  Please remember to send in any change of information as soon as it occurs.  

IMPORTANT UPDATE

Karina will be on vacation starting Saturday October 6th.  She will return on October 14th.  If you are sending in your Maintenance Payment, please send it by tomorrow at noon or hold until Monday, October 14th so they do not get lost.. She only processes payments on Tuesday.  No one will be there to retrieve them while she is on vacation. After Friday, please also hold emails until Monday, October 14th so they do not get lost.

She will begin to process Trades and Accelerations for January when she returns.

MAINTENANCE INVOICES

The Maintenance Invoices should be arriving this week.  If you do not have yours by next Friday please let Karina know.

Maintenance Update

A Quick Update:

If you sell your week and do your own transfer, please send me the Buyer’s information.  If I don’t update my list, the new owner will not receive a Maintenance Invoice by mail nor will they receive email updates.  As everyone knows, I address the envelopes for maintenance and send out important Timeshare emails.  I am only as good at maintaining the correct info as you are at sending it to me.  This year a few new owners do not have a mailed Invoice because I did not receive the information from the seller.  The same process applies if they do not pay their maintenance for some reason.  I have no contact information to remind them.

 

Invoices should be mailed this week.  If you live outside the US and Canada, they are emailed to you from Karina.

Riu Palace Aruba Specials on 1 & 2 Bedroom Apartments

The All-Inclusive Hotel Riu Palace Aruba has a timeshare community of 35 units. Timeshare rentals offer the most affordable way to vacation in Aruba.  Timeshare units at the Riu Palace Aruba are often available for rent through members. Occupancy is Friday to Friday. While the Riu Palace Aruba does not rent or sell timeshare unit, they maintain the 35 original units.  The resort, including Timeshare was renovated in 2015. Please contact a member if you are interested in renting their available week.

If you are renting a Timeshare please make sure the Owner provides you a rental agreement and a Member Guest Form. Please remember these are Friday to Friday only.

Timeshare is non-smoking in the units, halls and on the balconies. A one-bedroom sleeps 4 with a private bedroom and queen sleeper sofa in the living room.  A two-bedroom sleeps 6 with two private bedrooms and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. All timeshare units have a kitchen and dining/eat in area.  5th floor one-bedroom units have two baths.  1st and 3rd floor one-bedroom units have 1 bath.  All two-bedroom units have two baths with the exception of 546/548 which has 3 baths.

Riu Palace Aruba Annual Maintenance Letter

Below is the Annual Maintenance Letter for 2020.  Please make sure to read the letter and follow the instructions when you receive your Invoice.  The name for payments by check has changed. 

The new name is SILVER MOON HOTEL & CASINO N.V.  This is also the name that will be charged to your credit card.

A few reminders:

If a check is returned for any reason there is an additional $50 fee payable.

Do not send any paperwork to Miami with your check.  The bank does not forward paperwork to the Riu.  

Write your information on the Memo Line of your check and do not enclose anything else in the envelope.

Dear Member,

 

Enclosed you will find your annual membership invoice for 2020. All checks and wires will be payable to Silver Moon Hotel & Casino N.V. Please pay close attention to this information as it has changed and must correct. Check may only be made payable to Silver Moon Hotel & Casino N.V.

 

* Checks will not be accepted in person at the Riu. If you are paying by check it must be mailed to Miami.

* Credit Card payments will be accepted at the Riu Time Share Desk only on Tuesday between 8AM to 11AM

* The Riu now accepts American Express.

 

Below you will find the 2020 maintenance fee amounts:

* Maintenance Fee for a one bedroom unit is $ 730.00

* Maintenance Fee for a two bedroom unit is $ 960.00

 

> Check may only be made payable to Silver Moon Hotel & Casino N.V. Do not make checks payable to any other payee.                             

> Mail check in the enclosed envelope. DO NOT make check Payable to Banco Sabadell or Royal Palm Club.

> Do not enclose any paperwork in the envelope with your check. Miami will not forward paperwork to Aruba.

> Do not mail your payment to Aruba.

> Payments may not be made in person by check at the Riu Time Share Desk. Credit Cards only will be accepted.

 

On your Maintenance Invoice you will find your actual check in date for 2020. The month and day are reversed. If more than one week is on a contract, only the first day of check in will be listed under the date.

 

The annual dues are payable in advance and must be posted to your account on or before November 30th  2019, for the following year. Invoices are sent out in September and must be received and posted by November 30, 2019. Payment processing time is approximately 2 weeks.  Please mail your payment no later than November 15 to allow your payment to be posted by the due date.  If the annual dues are not paid on time, the Royal Palm Club will proceed with foreclosure of the unit in default.  On November 30th 2019 any member with unpaid annual dues will be sent a letter notifying them of foreclosure.  The Royal Palm Club will automatically foreclose on any unit with outstanding maintenance fees.

Aruba Breeze Condo at Eagle Beach

One of our Members owns a lovely condo at Aruba Breeze at Eagle Beach.  His unit is often available for rent.  Below is the info:

Outstanding Condo, perfect location

This condo is exactly what you see in the online pictures. Very modern unit, large for 2 couples. and everything you need to enjoy your vacation. The french doors open to a waterfall pool on the left and also one that is situated steps away from the unit. This was a nice seating area in the morning to enjoy a cup of coffee. As well, their is a covered bbq area with an outdoor dining table. The water is drinkable out of the tap and the unit also supplied ice so that we were able to cool our beer on our trips to the beach. With that the condo also supplied a nice sized beverage cooler and lawn chairs so that we were able to take to the beach. The beach is one of the nicest beaches i have seen in the caribbean. Eagle beach is a 10 minute walk from the condo. The beach is a long span of white fine sand with turquoise warm waters. I can say the only downfall of Eagle beach is the wind but without the wind you would most likely cook to death so settle for the wind! The condo is situated in a very secure area however Aruba itself is very safe. We took many walks at night and did not feel a bit unsafe. The area is full of shopping and restaurants. The choices are endless:) If your up to arubian food, try the heshi yeni and the awesome johnney cakes and of course the island breads. We rented a car so were able to scoot around the island to enjoy the capitol of Oranjested, Arushi beach, Baby beach, Mengel Halto beach. and Palm beach area. A half a block from the condo is a greek/Italian restaurant , Zuzuroh. A must to go and try this restaurant. Westdeck is also a must to dine, tons of live entertainment here and also around the area to enjoy. Nice grocery store to stock up for your vacation, a one stop shop to get all you need, good selection of wine, beer and liquor. Did some snorkelling at baby beach and Mengal Halto, some fish, its ok but not great but still fun to be in the water. All in all, we will be back, great island, nice friendly people and the most stunning beaches all at your finger tips as the island is so small ….all I can say is one happy island! Thanks for the wonderful stay, it was enjoyed by all!

I post Riu stuff on my personal page all the time and yesterday my kids convinced me to create a Group Page. Thanks to everyone who has posted so quickly. This page will allow you to post rentals/sales in another location, post pictures or just communicate with other members. There are several Aruba FB pages and it should be nice to have our own.

The website will not change. This is just an addition for all of us.
